PIN PIN – Pinterest Downloader Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
PIN PIN – Pinterest Downloader is a free Chrome extension for downloading Pinterest images and creating board ZIP files. It is independent of Pinterest.
Information processed
When you use the extension on pinterest.com or pinterest.es, it reads the current page's Pin identifiers, image URLs and board title needed for the download you request. For a board ZIP, the extension temporarily keeps up to 50 image candidates, the board name and a job status in Chrome's session storage. A short cooldown timestamp is also kept there. The extension fetches image bytes from Pinterest's i.pinimg.com image host and processes them locally in your browser.
PIN PIN does not collect your name, email, Pinterest credentials, browsing history outside the supported Pinterest pages, payment information or analytics. It does not send download data to the PIN PIN developer or to a PIN PIN server. It has no account system, advertising or tracking. Pinterest receives the image requests needed to supply the images; Pinterest's own privacy practices apply to its service.
Use, storage and sharing
The page information and image bytes are used only to show download controls and create the files you request. The resulting image or ZIP is saved through Chrome's Downloads API to your device. Temporary board-job data is removed when the job completes or is cancelled; after an unexpected interruption, it can remain until an expired job is replaced or the browser restarts. The extension does not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Your choices
You can cancel a board job in the progress tab and uninstall the extension in Chrome. Uninstalling removes extension-local storage managed by Chrome. To ask a privacy question, use the support contact shown on the PIN PIN Chrome Web Store listing.
This policy will be updated if the extension's data practices change. Material changes will be disclosed before release.
